Sandblasting
Sandblasting is a process that, using a high-pressure jet of sand, dulls specific areas of glass. This technique allows for the creation of custom logos, designs or lettering, offering different options regarding shades and depth, depending on the client’s requirements.
Beveling
Beveling is a process that creates a bevel on the crystal, adding value to the processed glass. Today, this operation is carried out with modern machinery dedicated to straight beveling, operated by qualified personnel. For shaped materials, the skill of the craftsman remains paramount, enabling the creation of true masterpieces.
With beveling , the edges of the glass are ground to a height of 10-40 mm at an angle of about 7 degrees to the surface of the glass, giving the finished product a refined and elegant appearance.
Engravings
Glass etchings can be made by a variety of techniques. One of the most common employs acid paste, generating superficial and homogeneous incisions. However, for deeper and more defined results, diamond-tipped burins or grinding wheels of various sizes and diameters are used. This method allows for crisp, detailed designs without the long lead times associated with other techniques, while ensuring excellent elegance and visual impact.

Grinding
Grinding, or edging, is an essential process to ensure the safety and finish of glass, making its edges smooth and not sharp. The procedure can be performed either with numerically controlled machines or manually, as needed. In both cases, the operation is carried out by skilled workers who ensure high-quality results.
Colored glass can also be subjected to grinding, which helps counteract thermal shock, thereby improving the strength and durability of the glass.
Vetreria Artigiana in Treviso offers several grinding modes, including round polished edge (rounded, polished edge), flat polished edge (polished edge perpendicular to the surface with 45-degree beveling), and rough edge (dull, rough edge).
Drilling
Drilling is done with diamond bits by high-precision CNC machinery, ensuring precision and quality in every drilling performed. Each processing is supervised by technical experts in the field.
Silvering
Silvering turns ordinary glass into a mirror. The process includes several steps, from cleaning the glass to drying the silver and laying protective materials. With silvering, different types of mirrors can be produced, including tempered, partialized, and antiqued mirrors.
